Programs & Courses
Choose from the list of course options according to your need for work, school or other requirements. Courses are provided in accordance with the latest first aid and CPR guidelines set by the Canadian Red Cross and meet legislation requirements for federal and provincial worker safety and insurance boards (WSIB).
The classes are designed for everyone regardless of their profession. The course objective is to prepare you for an emergency in any setting. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years.
Method of Delivery:
Blended courses are designed to provide flexibility, convenience and consistency in first aid and CPR training. The learning includes an online portion and an in-class session. The online portion utilizes a user-friendly platform that is interactive and engaging giving you control over the learning experience. Study anywhere there is access to the internet at your own pace. The in-class session is designed to provide you with hands-on skills testing conducted in-person with a Certified Red Cross Instructor.
In-class only courses are taught by a certified Red Cross Instructor and consist of video presentations, hands-on skills testing, group interaction and interactive cases. Participants receive coaching and feedback to facilitate their learning experience in a fun, engaging and dynamic environment. First Aid with CPR & AED courses were developed in accordance with recommendations from the International First Aid and Resuscitation Guidelines.
This is a highly engaging class where you will learn the skills to recognize cardiac arrest, provide CPR and perform rapid defibrillation in a timely and effective manner. The course also covers stroke, heart attack and choking.
Basic Life Support
The BLS course is designed for health care providers, you will learn advanced Basic Life Support skills to recognize cardiac arrest, perform a rapid assessment, provide CPR and perform rapid defibrillation in a timely and effective manner. The course also covers stroke, heart attack and choking.
Emergency First Aid
In this course you will learn how to provide first aid for the most common conditions, provide CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Learn how to perform lifesaving skills in any setting. Courses are designed to meet provincial legislation in compliance with worker safety and insurance boards (WSIB).
Standard First Aid
Comprehensive First Aid with CPR & AED courses providing you with the knowledge and skills to respond to emergencies in a safe, timely and effective manner.
